A bear silhouette, representing ARKTVS, derived from Arcturus, the “protector of the bear” star, ascends toward the constellation of Ursa Major where the golden stars evoke the figure of the Mother Bear. Capturing the essence of a trilogy of videos, including De Profundis, it reflects an internal passage through the Mother | ocean | womb as a journey of transmutation toward spiritual liberation. The design is built from papers texturized with charcoal and acrylic paint, then photographed and digitally composed, a process he uses in his animated video installations.
